Tegucigalpa, Nov 20 (EFE) .- A delegation of Argentine businessmen from the wine, food and services sectors began a three-day visit to Honduras today to seek greater commercial approach between both nations and expand their operations.
Entrepreneurs in the province of Mendoza are interested in "doing business" with their Honduran counterparts, he told Efe Fernando Urdaniz, general director of ProMendoza, institution of promotion of the exports of that Argentine region.
"In Honduras there is already investment from Mendoza, but with this activity We intend to deepen these commercial relations, "he said.
The Argentine mission is composed of a dozen entrepreneurs in the sectors of wine, food and services, added Urdaniz, who announced that in March 2018 a mission of Honduran businessmen is scheduled to travel to Mendoza.
The Argentine mission will be in Honduras until next Wednesday. and is part of a series of international promotion activities in common agreement with Promendoza and the Embassy of Argentina in Tegucigalpa, he added.
Argentine businessmen are interested in buying coffee, cocoa, fruits and Honduran tobacco, said the general director of Promendoza.
The Argentine ambassador in Honduras, Juan José Castelli, told reporters that expects the business round to "increase bilateral trade".
He pointed out that this mission is the third of Argentine businessmen in the Central American country in the last year.
For its part, the Honduran deputy foreign minister, María del Carmen Nasser, stressed that relations between her country Honduras and Argentina "are very positive."
The Honduran diplomat He told Efe that the relations between both countries "are very good" in the political, commercial and economic spheres.
He pointed out, without specifying figures, that trade between Honduras and Argentina "has increased" thanks to business missions between the two countries.
Trade between Honduras and Argentina is around 54 million dollars, according to official figures.
