Housing prices in China increase in October but show stability

The price of new housing increased in 50 of the 70 main Chinese cities in October compared to the prices of the previous month, six more cities than in September, reported today the National Bureau of Statistics of this country.

Beijing, Nov 18 (EFE) .- The price of new housing increased in 50 of the 70 main Chinese cities in October compared to the prices of the previous month, six cities more than in September, informed the National Office of Statistics of this country today.

The number of cities with real estate price increases has risen after three months of decreases, signal according to the experts of a stabilization of the market despite government measures to combat speculation, which are not causing a sharp fall in prices or sales.

Prices fell month-to-month in 14 cities, while there were no changes in six of the cities studied.

In Beijing, the price of new housing fell by 0 percent with respect to September, while in Shanghai it rose 0.3 percent.
